Enjoying Both Baby Snuggles and Writing!
2025 was special ! We welcomed a new baby boy, who made his grznd entry late August after one boy and four girls. All the kids were so happy to welcome another boy, and we all have been in love ever since!
At the end of this pregnancy was exhausting. I was trying to finish a school year so we could have a longer break after birth. I homeschool, so the school year is on our family schedule, which is a blessing ! The plan was that my husband could use the next months to do projects with the kids and let me rest.
But as a result, I have been absent for the last 7 months ! It was needed, and happened out of lack of time and needed rest. I am sorry this was not announced or explained. It just happened.
Now I am back and will start to work on providing you with health and cooking tips as well as recipes, like I do with my coaching clients. I may be slow starting, given all the busyness around me, but I enjoy doing it, and I hope you enjoy it too!
Bilingual Homeschooling Adventures
I am also planning on writing some on bilingual homeschooling.
I don't know it all about homeschooling, of course. But I believe I can offer an interesting perspective about homeschooling in a bilingual household.
I am French, my husband is American. We homeschool our kids in French and English. We don't value a language over another, nor a culture over another. Our homeschool is perfectly integrating both, with language and culture specific strategies. The goal - which is ambitious - is that our kids end up reading, speaking and writing proficiently in both languages and have good knowledge of both countries' histories. Throughout our journey, we discovered some dos and don't. We are only 6 years in the journey, and it is a constant learning adventure, for kids and parents alike! But we are the only family we know that thoroughly homeschools in two languages. If you are interested, stay tuned!
And for now enjoy the first contribution of the year, my recipe for Oolong Turmeric Ginger Kombucha!
Oolong Turmeric Ginger Kombucha
I discovered kombucha five years ago and it has been a love story in my kitchen. More than just enjoying bubbling probiotic goodness, this spurred in me an interest in many other fermented foods. My recipe is simple, and by all accounts, delicious. My kids love it as well. They have come equal fermented foods with treats!
I will be emailing you with news of my next post! Until then, enjoy cozy warmth after venturing in the ice cold winter!
